This site is for non-techie beginners who want to get a website and make money online, but don’t know where to start and are tired of online courses.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Amy. I built my first website in 2004 with zero computer experience. In 2010, I was making a part-time income and started teaching others what I knew. I made a full-time income online starting in 2013.
How is this site different?
I don’t explain why I suggest things, I just tell you what to do. Why do I do it this way?
To eliminate overwhelm. One of the biggest complaints I hear from beginners is getting lost in the explanations. Most don’t care about the whys and options, they just want to start.
There is a learning curve. I just do my best to shorten it.
Why not buy a course?
The kind of material you’ll find on this site is usually sold in a course…yet still requires the student to put the puzzle pieces together. Not here. No puzzle-piecing. No tech overwhelm. No over-your-head explanations. No guesswork. No unnecessary extras. No long-winded geek speak. No nickel-and-diming. No fancy or expensive services you don’t need yet.
Gurus usually recommend too many bells & whistles right out of the gate in my opinion. The more moving parts, the more there is to break. Keep it simple to start.
What’s the catch?
You may be wondering why I offer all this for free. After all, if people usually sell this stuff in a course, there must be a catch somewhere.
Oh I make money from this site. I wouldn’t maintain it if I didn’t. It’s just that I have a different business model. Instead of getting paid by you for a course, I get paid by large companies when you buy their services (which I use and recommend myself).
But there’s another catch. You have to trust me. I’ve been building websites since 2004. I know how to build a solid beginner website, but if you prefer why you should do something, this isn’t the site for you.
What are the reviews about?
There are thousands of courses and products which teach you how to make money online. I’ve bought a lot of them. Many aren’t worth the cost and I don’t recommend.
If you hover over the Reviews tab in the menu above, you’ll see some of the courses I’ve bought and my thoughts on them. I’ve bought many more than that. Those are simply the ones I liked the most or have been asked about the most.
What’s my ninja skill?
Everyone’s a ninja at something. (You are too!) Me? Three things:
- Efficiency / streamlining
- Finding the best expert or resource on a topic
- Doing fancy web things for not-fancy prices
What does that mean for you?
I have spent the last (nearly) two decades fine-tuning the best beginner website setup I can, with the fewest moving parts, at a reasonable cost.
Also, I’ve spent thousands of hours wading through the internet, and thousands of dollars buying courses & products, all in a quest to find the very best help on specific topics. I will point you in the right direction.
My method is a simple yet solid way to start. Get a website now.
